Broward Health Medical Center is a 716 bed flagship hospital in the Broward Health System. It is a state of the art Level I Trauma Center and Ft. Lauderdale’s largest healthcare facility. The position will report directly to the President and CEO of Broward Health. The CEO is responsible for the overall administration of the medical center and related regional operations. The ideal candidate will possess experience and expertise in the areas of hospital leadership, strategy, operations, finance and administration.

Recognizes that a key driver in the ongoing success of the hospital is the strength and success of the medical staff and engages them accordingly Stays current with general hospital and healthcare industry trends as well as policy changes at the local and national level and their particular impact on the hospitals’ clinical, operational and financial performance Directs efforts to ensure that policies and practices effectively support sound , safe, engaged patient care and that the delivery of healthcare services are of exceptional quality and patient and family oriented.
Implements and execute policies and plans to direct and achieve both long-term and short-term objectives to create a working environment which focuses on patient, physician and employee engagement, regional performance, regulatory compliance and market success Develops and executes upon strategic and operational plans maintaining accountability and timeliness of performance goals.
Promotes, bolsters, and reinforces community relationships to support Broward Health Medical Center’s objectives and balance business strategies consistent with local, state and federal healthcare initiatives.
Provides leadership in the administration of business affairs and operations to include Graduate Medical Education (G.M.E.) and Research and Development.
Creates and maintain an effective, collaborative, engaged, inclusive team with an emphasis on open, direct and productive communication which supports employee engagement, retention, system integration, regional performance and market success.
Models and reinforces ethical behavior in self and others in accordance with the Code of Conduct, adheres to organizational policies, procedures and guidelines, supports compliance, regulatory and accreditation initiatives and follows through on commitments.

Education Master’s Degree Required
Experience Minimum of ten years’ experience as a CEO of a large hospital
