We are a Joint Commission Accredited hospital providing inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services.
We are currently seeking an HR Director, Kansas City, MO, to provide leadership, focus, and direction in all related areas (recruitment, employee relations, and compensation). The Director of Human Resources will collaborate with facility leaders to recruit, retain, and develop employees to enable strong business and clinical outcomes.
Responsible for full cycle recruitment (understand staffing needs, source for candidates, leverages ATS, interview, select, negotiate employment offers, and assist with orientation
Maintains and collaborates with management on position control in accordance with Facility budget
Knowledgeable of the HRIS systems and data input requirements and report writing
Manages employee relations and retention management program
Maintains all Human Resources files to ensure regulatory compliance
Develops, implements, and revises Human Resources policies and procedures in accordance with state, federal, and corporate standards and ensures consistency their administration
Monitors compensation planning program and wage and hour compliance
Oversees employee engagement activities
Administers absence management process (e.g., FMLA, LOA)
Conducts internal investigations and makes appropriate recommendations as needed
Partners with Corporate Legal in responding to employment litigation matters
Coordinates employee development and annual mandatory training, including maintaining all job specific and on-going competencies required by Facility policy, and other regulatory agencies
Advises with Facility management and consults with Corporate HR Operations on sensitive corrective actions, PI Plans, and other performance issues
Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities
Responds to insurance and unemployment compensation correspondence and employment verifications.
Education: Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree is highly preferred; SPHR certification highly preferred, with 5 to 7 years HR experience, preferably in a Hospital or specialty healthcare services environment. 3 to 5 years of management experience required.
Certifications/Licensure: PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP preferred, not required.
Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation). Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities Able to work collaboratively and effectively to achieve good outcomes Must be responsive in managing issues that require timely management/oversight. Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws in addition to operational regulatory standards/regulations Technically proficient in HR Systems (applicant tracking, HRIS, learning and development).
