The Center for Child and Family Traumatic Stress (CCFTS) at Kennedy Krieger Institute has a position open for a Psychologist III. CCFTS, located in Baltimore Maryland is a Center that uses mental health treatment, training and research to address the negative impacts of exposures to neglect, abuse and violence. For information about our program, please go to: https://www.kennedykrieger.org/patient-care/patient-care-centers/traumatic-stress-center/treatmentWe are currently seeking a senior level psychologist to supervise psychology staff, psychology interns, and coordinates/manages projects which they have been assigned. In addition, he/she will provide direct service to clients and have the opportunity to become involved in research and/or training. Responsibilities include:•Fulfills all of the responsibilities and duties of a clinical or counseling psychologist.•Provides treatment to clients including diagnostic interview and therapy through individual, group, family, or marital treatment. In addition, collaborates with public agencies to facilitate achievement of goals related to the treatment plan.•Maintains client activity at the projected level set by administrative staff and maintains the medical record for each client which includes diagnostic interview note, ongoing contact notes, MHP treatment plan, and discharge note.•Supervises and conducts performance evaluations for psychology staff/graduate students through regular meetings and review of documentation to address clinical practice, professional development, productivity, documentation compliance, and time management.•Coordinates/manages clinics or projects to which they have been assigned. •Assists the Director and assumes leadership with the development of innovative programs, training, and research initiatives and assists in securing funding, grants, as needed.• Responsible for administrative oversight and supervision of staff providing clinical services and clinic coordination.
Requirements:•Must possess a Ph.D. or Psy.D. with emphasis in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.•Must be a licensed psychologist in the state of Maryland. •APA approved internship as well one year of supervised experience post doc•Five (5) years’ experience in providing psychological evaluation, psychotherapy, and supervision.•Some management experience preferredThe Kennedy Krieger Institute provides an excellent benefits package that includes health insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and a company-matched retirement plan.
