Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is conducting a national search for Clinical Director, Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, a position which will also serve as Founding Medical Director of the Vanderbilt Respiratory Institute (VRI).
The Vanderbilt Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is one of the largest and most successful academic Pulmonary Divisions in the country. The Division is actively evolving and expanding its clinical and research enterprise in collaboration with colleagues in Thoracic Surgery by creating a new multi-disciplinary patient care center, the Vanderbilt Respiratory Institute, designed to integrate adult pulmonary medicine, transplant medicine and thoracic surgery for the coordinated care of patients with respiratory diseases.
The Medical Director will be a collaborative, physician leader who will drive volume and program expansion; ensure a high level of patient satisfaction, quality, and safety; demonstrate commitment to the academic purposes of VUMC; and lead the VRI to national recognition as one of the premier referral centers for patients with pulmonary disease.
Candidates will hold an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. with national recognition in the field of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and have a record of progressive administrative experience.
