The Director of Patient Experience effectively manages multiple projects, serves on various key committees at the site and system level, and performs other special activities as directed. The Director monitors and tracks progress throughout the hospital for accountability, identifies areas for opportunity and drive success in patient care experience by reaching and/or exceeding designated goals. Demonstrates leadership qualities of innovation and creativity, as well as the ability to respond positively to changing circumstances. Acts decisively and takes effective action. Shows initiative to achieve growth of management knowledge, skills, and abilities. Actively participates in hospital/community activities aimed at achieving the mission and improving the image of PVMC and encourages employees likewise.
This position will not have any direct reports, but will incorporate an influential leadership style as they closely work with Process Improvement, Risk, Patient Advocates, and Directors across the house. This individual will lead the monthly Patient Partnership Council, quarterly Leadership Development Institute for leaders under the Studer model, and will chair the Planetree steering committee.
Undergraduate degree in a clinical discipline with a Master’s degree in Business or Healthcare related field preferred.
2 years in leadership position with increasing levels of authority preferred.
Operational and performance improvement experience in a variety of clinical settings with strong clinical reputation preferred.
Previous experience as an RN, highly preferred.
Previous experience with the Studer model and in a Planetree designated facility also preferred.
Ability to educate, to consult with physicians and nurses, to motivate both patients and employees.
Ability to plan and organize and carry through on detail and ability to use tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive issues.
