In collaboration with and under the leadership of the Vice President of Patient Care Services, directs and coordinates broad systems wide activities which have as their purpose the planning, development and implementation of policies, programs and practices in support of the operating and patient care functions of the Center. Participates in the development of organizational objectives, strategic plans and programs as related to areas of responsibility and towards achieving hospital objectives.
Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc. Insure that [unit/department/division] is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.
BSN required and MSN or advanced degree strongly preferred. Completion of Clinical experience in NLN accredited school. Perioperative expertise and hospital-based leadership experience required. Able to work in a fast-paced teaching and evidence-based practice environment. Able to lead change and increase health care outcomes in a collaborative atmosphere. Able to enhance perioperative health care delivery and care in a unit-based, hospital and state-wide level. Current NJ RN Licensure required. National Certification required. BLS required.
