The Field Supervisor provides emergency services to a wide variety of patients in varied locations and conditions. The Station Supervisor must be capable of functioning at any time of the day or night. High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's preferred. Exposure to hazardous situations and environments may occur in the course of routine operationsPhysical Demands of the Position: Standing, walking, running, sitting and stooping, kneeling, bending/twisting, reaching, grasping, Communications (talking, writing and hearing), far vision (100 feet or more), near vision (10 inches or less), Carrying up to 50 pounds of equipment up to half a mile on uneven ground, Safely lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling patients up to 100lbs on their own or 200lbs with assistance, Any change in an employee's physical condition that would prohibit or alter their ability to perform their job duties must be brought to EMS Administration immediately. Ability to perform during an emergency for prolonged periods, Ability to react calmly and speak clearly in crisis situations, Effective communication, oral , written, and computer skills. Ability to follow policies and procedures, Read, write and speak English, Ability to read a map and have basic knowledge of State, County and other public roadways, Ability to perform duties in stressful and sometimes life-threatening situations. Exercise good judgment and make sound decisions in emergency situations, Ability to express effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public, Knowledge of NJAC Statute 8:40 (Manual of Standards for Licensure of Mobility Assistance Vehicles & Ambulance Services), Knowledge of other standards, rules, regulations, and policies related to EMS, Knowledge of standards, rules, regulations, and policies related to EMS.
