This opportunity as Chief Medical Officer is for a senior hospital leader position, reporting to the CEO, that will ensure that the medical staff of the hospital practices the best possible quality of medical and surgical care. The CMO will serve as the liaison between medical staff and hospital administration to improve communication and cooperation to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and to provide administrative oversight to the hospitalist service and all other physician services offered by Holyoke Medical Center.

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with the following:
At least 5 years of demonstrated practice experience, with previous administrative leadership at the level of Vice President/CMO in a community hospital, including evidence of career advancement and progressive increase in responsibilities, thereby demonstrating the ability to provide leadership to all departments in an acute-care facility.
The physician must hold an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board Certification in a medical specialty is required.
The physician must hold or be eligible to obtain a Massachusetts medical license.
