The Psychiatric Emergency Department Technician (PEDT) is an individual who assists the health care professionals in the delivery of care to patients. Possesses the ability to collect, assess or retrieve data reflective of the patient's status relative to his/her age. Interprets and evaluates the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's needs and requirements relative to patient outcome. The PEDT provides care under the direction of the Registered Nurse utilizing the skills and techniques established within job requirements. Section III: Job Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure At least one year patient care experience.
