The Dean for Clinical Medicine for the Knoxville location is responsible for the administrative oversight of the Department of Clinical Medicine at the Knoxville location. The Assistant/Associate Dean will provide leadership and oversight for the educational program in the final two, clinical, years at the Knoxville location and will work closely with the Associate Dean & CAO Knoxville and the Assistant/Associate Dean of Pre-Clinical/BMS Knoxville to provide clinical oversight to the clinical portions of the first two, preclinical, years of the curriculum. The Dean will demonstrate a commitment to Interprofessional clinical education throughout the curriculum.
Required: D.O. degree (AOA/COCA accredited COM); and *five (5) years or greater of related leadership experience in post-baccalaureate health-related academic programs with direct student contact, *demonstrated knowledge of undergraduate and graduate medical education; *eligible for licensure in Tennessee;certification by an AOA board; *eligible for faculty appointment at LMU-DCOM, preferably at associate professor or professor rank.
Preferred: *Post- undergraduate and doctoral training experience teaching basic sciences, medical, and graduate courses; *at least five(5) years full-time equivalent experience in the practice of medicine.
