| Vascular Neurologist for Primary Stroke Center in Roanoke, Virginia Carilion Clinic, headquarted in Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking a board certified or board eligible neurologist who is fellowship trained in vascular neurology. Neurocritical care experience is preferred but not required. The physician will work closely with neurosurgeons, neurologist and a highly capable neurointerventional team to serve established multidisciplinary programs associated with the Carilion Clinic Stroke Center. On site team of stroke neurologist, neurosurgeons, neurointerventionalists and rehab physicians offer patients 24/7 lifesaving treatment and is supported by a full time stroke coordinator. - Hospitalist/Intensivist/ Neurosurgery/ Neurointerventional team/ Vascular Surgery support.
- 34 bed Inpatient Rehab unit onsite with 5 dedicated for brain injury patients
- Possibility of continued and expanded participation in clinical trials and research in collaboration with Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute and Virginia Tech University
- Carilion Clinic is a network of 7 hospitals with a large geographic footprint and is supported 24/7 by Life-Guard program with 4 helicopters and air ambulance crew.
