The Acute Psych Unit nurse is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing direct Veteran care. The RN uses the nursing process and evidence-based practice to perform nursing functions related to coordination of patient care utilizing patient centered practices, and a focus on excellence in nursing care and customer service.
