Provides screening, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of psychiatric disorders with an emphasis on the application of time-limited, evidence-based approaches. 2. Assures that necessary health/administrative information is integrated into Computerized Patient Record System, with notes written, signed, and encounter information completed the same day as the patient appointment. 3. Completes an individualized, interdisciplinary treatment plan on each patient, with goals developed through collaboration with the Veteran and with an emphasis on functional outcomes. 4. Functions collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to identify patient needs and develop treatment plan. 5. Documents treatment progress in each note as relates to Veteran's overall treatment plan. 6. Completes a discharge plan when patients have reached their identified goals, integrating internal and external support resources for the Veteran upon discharge as applicable. 7. When administrating therapeutic groups, completes the "Group Outline" document required by Mental Health Service and submits to Mental Health leadership. Clinical Administrative Responsibilities 1. Completes required clinical and administrative documentation in a timely manner and in accord with governing regulations, including: a. Actions required b. Patient complaints c. Patient appointment cancellations/rescheduling d. Clinic utilization e. No-shows f. Note completion, including signature 2. Complies with national and local performance measures. 3. Attends regular staff meetings, Medical Staff meetings, and complies with Mental Health peer review procedures. 4. Will be present for entire tour of duty daily, excluding approved leave. Additional Administrative Responsibilities 1. Serves on Medical Center or Healthcare System, VISN, and/or National VA committees or task forces, as endorsed by supervisors. 2. Participates in Psychology privileging, educational and peer review activities, in accord with Psychology and medical center policies. 3. Participates as a non-voting member of the medical staff, in accord with medical staff by-laws. 4. Participates in support of OBVAMC and Psychology administrative and performance improvement activities, e.g., by taking on assigned projects and serving on committees. 5. Completes required clinical and administrative documentation, including leave entry, in a timely manner and in accord with governing regulations. Academic/Teaching/Training 1. Supervises psychology practicum students in accord with training program policies and accrediting agency requirements. 2. Provides staff and student didactic training and consultation as requested in content areas of scholarly and/or clinical expertise. 3. May supervise or train allied health providers in accord with facility and regulatory standards regarding such training. Research / Program Evaluation 1.
