Clinical Psychologists diagnose mental disorders, conduct psychological or neuropsychological assessments, treat mental disorders through a variety of modalities, and provide adjunctive interventions for treatment of medical disorders. Psychologists consult with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues and may be involved in program evaluation, teaching, training, and research activities. Work Schedule: The work schedule will be determined based on the needs of the Medical Center. The Providence VA Medical Center is an acute care facility operating 24 hours a day 7 days a week. While most tours of duty are scheduled during the day, the possibility of working evenings, nights, and weekends does exist. Shift changes will be considered based on patient and facility needs.
