Position is within the Adult Outpatient Mental Health Programs. We provide services across acute levels of care including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient (IOP) and day treatment. After completion of a diagnostic assessment, patients are placed into clinical groups that offer an opportunity for them to be with peers who have similar diagnosis, symptoms and/or age. This includes programming for young adults and those in the 55+ age group. We also offer a dual disorder program that addresses both mental health and substance use disorders together.
Services are provided within a large academic healthcare system and are based out of the University of Minnesota Medical Center, West Bank. All services are currently offered via telehealth with the opportunity to work from home or onsite. Services will be available again in-person and this role will require employee to be on-site in the future.

An LGSW outpatient psychotherapist works collaboratively with the teams across all services offered within the Adult Outpatient Mental Health Programs. Teams are multi-disciplinary and include Licensed Psychotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurse Liaisons and Psychiatrists.
Programpsychotherapistsfacilitate groups using curriculum that employsevidence-based practices to improve the patient's ability to manage their mental health and/or substance use concerns. Psychotherapists also provide crisis and case management, engage patients in treatment planning as well as preparation for discharge to the next level of care.
